DESCRIPTION

Explore the exhilarating Triglav Winter Tour with OUTVENTUREX, a technical adventure that combines the thrill of climbing with the awe-inspiring beauty of the Julian Alps transformed into a winter wonderland. Led by our expert IFMGA guides, the ascent to the 2,863 m (9,395 ft) Mount Triglav is an unforgettable experience, offering a unique and challenging element only found in the snowy winter landscape.

Participants are required to have prior mountaineering experience, including proficiency in using an ice axe and climbing with crampons. Our seasoned guides ensure the safety of the journey, making it accessible to those with the necessary skills. With winter reducing the crowds to a fraction of their summer numbers, the climb becomes even more enjoyable, providing a serene and magical atmosphere.

The tour begins with an ascent to the Triglav Lodge at Kredarica, where the snow-covered Alpine kingdom unfolds in stunning panoramas. Reaching this high-altitude base offers a humbling sense of smallness amidst the vast winter landscape. The Kredarica Lodge, closed in winter, becomes our base, with the hospitable meteorologists welcoming us and preparing a hot meal in the cold season.

The next morning, equipped with climbing ropes, ice axes, and crampons, our journey continues towards Triglav’s summit. Guided by our experienced guides, participants navigate through wild snowy, and rocky terrain, overcoming challenges and relishing the unique winter ascent. Weather conditions are crucial for both the ascent and descent, ensuring a safe and thrilling experience.

Upon reaching the summit, participants are treated to a breathtaking wintery panorama, an indescribable spectacle that marks the pinnacle of the tour. The descent back towards the lowlands concludes the adventure, leaving participants with memories of an unforgettable winter climb on Mount Triglav with OUTVENTUREX.
