Climb Mont Blanc on a guided ascent with OutventureX — a demanding yet deeply rewarding adventure to the highest peak in Western Europe.

Our experienced IFMGA guides lead small, focused teams and plan every step carefully to ensure safety, progress, and a real alpine experience. The goal is simple: reach the summit confidently while enjoying breathtaking views across France, Italy, and Switzerland.

The Route

We follow the classic Goûter Route, which combines glacier travel, steep snow slopes, and exposed ridges. You’ll need strong endurance and confidence in alpine terrain. However, the reward is standing above the clouds with a 360° panorama of the Alps — a moment that stays with you forever.

There are two options available for our Mont Blanc guided climb – a 3-day Mont Blanc ascent or a 6-day Mont Blanc expedition.If you select the 3-day Mont Blanc program, you’ll need to complete your own acclimatization climb before joining our certified mountain guide. To ensure safety and readiness for the summit attempt, please provide proof of acclimatization (such as GPS data, summit photo, or trip record) to our guiding team prior to the climb.Below, you’ll find the detailed itinerary for the full 6-day guided Mont Blanc climb. For the shorter 3-day Mont Blanc option, please refer specifically to Day 4, Day 5, and Day 6 of the itinerary below.
day 01

Arrival in Chamonix & Hike to Chabod Hut (2,750 m)

DISTANCE: 5 kmELEVATION: Elevation gain: +900 m | Hiking time: 3–4 hoursLEVEL: MODERATE

Meet your IFMGA-certified mountain guide in Chamonix, France, for a full trip briefing, gear check, and equipment purchase or rental if needed.
After the briefing, transfer by minivan through the Mont Blanc Tunnel to Valsavarenche Valley, Italy — the starting point for your Gran Paradiso acclimatization climb.

From the Pravieux trailhead (approx. 1,860 m), hike through alpine forest and glacial moraine to reach the Chabod Hut (2,750 m) in Gran Paradiso National Park.
Dinner and overnight at Rifugio Chabod (half board).

day 02

Gran Paradiso Summit (4,061 m) & Return to Chabod Hut

DISTANCE: 6 kmELEVATION: Elevation gain/loss: +1,300 m / –1,300 mLEVEL: HARD

Start early (around 5:00 AM). Ascend the Gran Paradiso Glacier, using crampons and ropes for glacier travel and final rocky ridge to the summit Madonna statue at 4,061 m.
Enjoy panoramic views of the Alps before descending safely back to Rifugio Chabod.

Dinner and overnight at the hut (half board).

day 03

Descent to Valsavarenche & Transfer to Chamonix (1,000 m descent)

ELEVATION: Elevation loss: –900 m | Hiking time: 2–3 hours | Transfer: 2 hrs driveLEVEL: EASY

After breakfast, descend back to the Pravieux parking area, meet the vehicle, and return to Chamonix.
Afternoon free for rest, gear drying, and preparation for the Mont Blanc climb.
Overnight in Chamonix valley (hotel or lodge accommodation).

day 04

Les Houches to Tête Rousse Hut (3,165 m)

DISTANCE: 4 kmELEVATION: Elevation gain: +1,300 m | Hiking time: 3 hoursLEVEL: MODERATE

Late morning departure from Les Houches (1,000 m) by Bellevue cable car (1,794 m) and then the Mont Blanc Tramway to Nid d’Aigle (2,372 m).
From here, start the hike on a rocky alpine trail and glacier approach to Tête Rousse Hut (3,165 m), where you’ll spend the night.

Dinner and overnight at Refuge de Tête Rousse (half board).

day 05

Mont Blanc Summit (4,808 m) & Overnight at Goûter Hut (3,835 m)

DISTANCE: 7 kmELEVATION: Elevation gain/loss: +1,750 m / –1,000 m | Climbing time: 10–12 hoursLEVEL: HARD

Early alpine start (around 5:00 AM). Cross the Grand Couloir and ascend to Refuge du Goûter (3,835 m), then continue via the Dôme du Goûter (4,304 m) and the Bosses Ridge to reach the summit of Mont Blanc (4,808 m) around midday.

Enjoy the unforgettable panoramic view over France, Italy, and Switzerland before descending carefully back to Refuge du Goûter for dinner and rest.
Overnight at Goûter Hut (half board).

day 06

Descent to Chamonix via Nid d’Aigle

DISTANCE: 4 kmELEVATION: Elevation loss: –1,450 m | Hiking time: 4–5 hoursLEVEL: MODERATE

After breakfast, descend from the Goûter Hut to Nid d’Aigle via Tête Rousse Hut, then take the Mont Blanc Tramway back to Bellevue and the cable car down to Les Houches.
Return to Chamonix for trip debrief and celebration with your guide team.
