Join OutventureX for Ice Climbing Tours in Slovenia and experience frozen waterfalls, steep ice walls, and the raw beauty of the Julian Alps. Our certified guides will lead you through climbs that challenge both strength and focus, while making sure safety and learning come first.
Routes for every level
Our tours are designed for different abilities. Beginners can try easier WI3 ice falls of up to 100 m, while advanced climbers can take on WI5 routes that rise more than 200 m. This way, you can choose the climb that matches your skills and goals.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Ice climbing day
We start from the parking site early in the morning – from 6.00 to 7.00, depending on the tour type.
- Gear check.
- Approach to the ice fall.
- Preparation, and instruction for climbing.
- Ice climbing and descent (rappel or walk down)
- Getting back to the starting point
- A guide will show you the best technics for enjoyable and safe climbing.
A guide will asses the conditions all the time during the tour and have the right to decide to change the route plan or to stop the tour accordingly to the conditions.

We recommend guided climbing tours to everybody who seeks complete relaxation and wants to have only one thing on their mind – a safe ice climbing experience.

CONDITIONS
Booking needs to be done at least 3 days in advance.
Previous basic ice climbing experiences are recommended but not required for lower grades.
Necessary gear:
- Comfortable winter sports clothes (3 layers of clothing)
- Insulation and waterproofed jackets+trousers
- Waterproof gloves + one extra pair
- Spare socks, underwear, and shirts
- Headwear (cap, buff)
- Winter mountaineering boots for automatic or semi-automatic crampons.
- Backpack of at least 30 L
- Headlamp
- Snacks
- Insulated bottle for a warm tea (1L)
- Sunscreen, suncream, toothbrush
- ID Card, cash for food.
Necessary technical gear:
- Climbing harness
- Crampons min 12 spikes
- 2 climbing ice axes
- 2 x carabiners with a screws
- Helmet
- 1x endless lanyard
In case you don’t have your technical gear, we provide it to you. Prior arrangement is necessary.
