DESCRIPTION
If you want to climb Via Ferrata in the stunning Vipava Valley with OutventureX you will get to experience an adventure like never before.
Our rebels navigate vertical rock faces using a series of metal rungs, cables, and bridges, secured with safety harnesses. All our adventures are guided by experienced guides that helps beginners and seasoned climbers enjoy the beauty of Vipava Valley.
The first and easier route is Furlanova Ferata which is called one of the first ‘wired’ routes in Slovenia. If you want a more challenging route, it would be Otmar Via Ferrata which can be done with the previous route and can be climbed together.
If you are looking to conquer your fear of heights or if you are looking for an adrenaline rush, this Ferrata adventure premises you an unbelievable experience though picturesque Slovenian landscape all year around.
You can check the list of potential climbs in the section prices below.
WHAT TO EXPECT
itinerary
01
Furlan
– Meet at the car park Gradiška Tura (upon agreement transfer is also an option)
– Gear check and introduction at the car park
– Approach to the bottom of the wall (20 min walk)
– Start climbing which will take us from 1 -2 hours (during the weekends the route is quite crowded and may take more time). The route is enjoyable and not too hard, despite a B grade.
– Descent to the starting point – a nice hiking trail will lead us to the starting point (30 min). In the middle of the trail, we can join a bit more challenging Otmar route (see Otmar below)
02
Otmar
– It can be done separately but most parties combine this route by climbing before Fulran via Ferrata. It is 30 30-minute approach from the car park Gradiška Tura
– If combined with Furlan Ferrata, It can be easily accessible by a short descent from the top of Furlan Ferrata (5 min).
– The most challenging part is at the beginning of the climb with the overhang traverse, but fully secured and equipped with a metal ladder. After this section, the route continues in a nice and panoramic way to the very top where you can take an iconic picture at the metal cross with Vipava Valley as a background.
– Descent to the starting point will follow the hiking trail and take around 45 min.
